Hi Lionel,

the Standards are:

Axial precision: ±2µm
Repeatability: ±2µm
Smallest opening: 50µm

hope this helps.

Best regards

Stencil resolution
Hi,
I would like to know how to accurately align the laser stencil with the PCB.
A chip I am working with has a lead pitch of 0.5mm and a lead width o o.22mm to 0.27mm.

I had an earlier stencil that had cutouts for lead pitches of 0.4mm and a consequent finer lead width. Because the stencil pad cutouts for this particular chip were so fine I could not see the pads on the PCB through the stencil.

I have since bought a USB microscope which may improve matters.

But if there is a way of pegging the stencil to the PCB I would like to know of it. Or any other technique.

Regards
Michael
