This edge is highlighted and at the ends two small black boxes appear.

Now click with the right mouse button on the box in the desired corner.
The context menu of the box appears (Fig. see above).

Select the menu item “Round corner”.

Import DXF files for front panel into TARGET 3001!
How do I import DXF data?

Click “Open”.

Insert bolts and bushes in my front panel in TARGET 3001!

How can I place bolts, press-in studs in my front panel design?

First perform a free TARGET 3001! version update (Menu: Help/Free Update) and also update the components database (Menu: packages/component browser) (Component browser, Menu: Update). Open the front panel component database for your project by clicking on the sign of the milling toolbar:

If you do not see the milling toolbar on the left edge of the screen, you can make it visible via Menu: View/Toolbars/Front-panel-toolbar. In the component database you can identify the press-in studs with their designation: CHC or CSS (see Fig. left).

The designation “Front” or “Back” indicates which side of the front panel the stud is pressed into.
Select the suitable press-in stud and place it in your front panel layout (Fig. see below).

Of course, the best way to place the studs are concentric with the mounting hole in the PCB layout (Fig. see below)

Concentric mounting of the bolt relative to the mounting hole of the PCB

The front side remains unaffected at this point. This function is available in Target 3001! from V15.
I would like to send you DXF data for production. What do I need to consider?
If you want to send us DXF data, the data should contain the following information:
  • Only the outer contours of the front panel and the contours of the openings may be present.
  • The trace lines of the contours may only consist of a single line and must be closed.
  • The maximum line thickness is 11,81 mil (0.3 mm).
  • Make sure that you do not have multiple lines drawn on top of each other.
  • The drawing must be drawn on a scale of 1:1.
  • All contours for milling must be located on a single layer.
  • Do not include print data in the DXF data, but as a separate file. We prefer the formats PDF or JPG, but we can also read in most of the other graphic formats.
  • The print data should have a resolution of 300 dpi.
